I just got back from what ended up being a lovely little tweetp/kiteup at The Camel, a small Richmond, Virginia music venue.
I thought I was just going there to see old college buddies play in a band; I ended up having in-depth conversations about an exciting agnostic chat startup with a one of their developers and enthusing about branding with the local Social Media Club leadership.
Here’s a little chat I had with Doug Meacham, acting ringleader for the nascent Social Media Club chapter. We talked a little about how he got started and how we all can see the lack of an organized tech scene as an opportunity.
The Social Media Club Richmond chapter’s first official get-together is May 7. That evening, tweet out a few kind words @SMCRVA; they’ll be posting incoming web love on a social media wall and would love the encouragement!
